L’île de la Cité and Le Marais

I had an urge to go and explore the beautiful Marais district today – it might be becoming my favourite place in Paris. I went a couple of weeks ago when my Dad was here but I found myself wandering in that direction again anyway (even though there are heaps of places I am yet to explore in this city). I hopped of the metro at Cité and walked past Hôtel de Ville and then into Le Marais, before heading south to find the little Village St-Paul that I have heard is a must-see. It’s a little hidden network of squares with niche boutiques and eateries. I would definitely recommend taking a look!

The above four shots were taken in a little lane I saw next to the very touristy rue d’Arcole (I was fascinated by this cupcake shop).
