Trinity College Dublin

Here are the second lot of photos from my trip to Dublin a couple of weeks ago, showcasing the famous Trinity College in all its Georgian glory. We got here early in the morning so we could be first in line to see the Book of Kells – an illuminated manuscript regarded as Ireland’s national treasure and the most beautiful book in the world. This also meant that I could take photos without the massive crowds that come later in the day, as well as capture some beautiful early morning light filtering through the trees. One of the highlights was definitely the Long Room in the Trinity College Library, which you can see as part of the Book of Kells exhibition. This huge two storey room is filled with 200,000 beautiful old books and lined with marble busts of philosophers, writers and college patrons.
