Another magical place I had seen on social media recently was the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula a short bus ride away from Nice. This pink mansion was built between 1905-1912 for a Rothschild Baroness and is filled with artwork and rare porcelain. As this was our last day in France and we had to catch a flight that afternoon, we didn’t stay long enough to listen to the audioguide tour of the villa but I can imagine it would be very informative if you are an art enthusiast. As it was, we only had time to take a quick walk around the gardens (there are 9 in total!) before walking down the hill towards the town of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. We headed for Paloma Beach which is just a 10 minute walk from the town and were blown away by the most perfectly azure waters I had ever seen. I will definitely come back one day to while away the hours on the private beach with its seafood restaurant and a few cocktails.
